Vehicle crime - Crime reduction advice event : Thursday 16th Oct 17:00-18:00

Dear Resident, 

Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team will be at the Webheath village hall between 17:00-18:00 hours on Thursday 16th October 2025.

Officers will be issuing packs of vehicle Smartwater to residents of Webheath.

These packs include a faraday pouch which helps to protect keyless entry car keys, the packs are free but will need to be registered.

We have a limited number of these packs available

WHAT IS SMARTWATER?

Vehicle SmartWater is a forensic marking technology that provides a legally irrefutable way to deter theft and identify assets. It is a liquid that is invisible to the naked eye but UV-detectable, making it extremely difficult for criminals to detect. SmartWater is used to mark vehicles, bicycles, and other valuable items, providing a unique identifier that can be traced back to the owner. This technology has a 100% conviction rate when used as evidence in court, making it a powerful deterrent against theft.
